Belenour has a way of turning on outsiders.
When Ian, a foreign young adult, arrives in the city, he quickly finds himself welcomed into Karl's friend group. As unsolved kidnappings are reported throughout Belenour, suspicion, hate, and jealousy fall upon him. Thus, he is falsely accused as an abductor and a murderer. With the police searching for him, he is forced to flee and hide his identity from a city that has already deemed him guilty.
The true kidnapper, meanwhile, uses their surreal supernatural ability to abduct more individuals while constantly battling their dangerous addiction, cognitive dissonance, their mental illness, and the weight of their own deception.
A story exploring the struggles of the inner self through addiction, deception, and how different perspectives regarding these issues clash into each other.
